I recently moved to Georgetown and was looking for a reliable mechanic. A gentleman who was a volunteer driver to Hamilton hospital highly recommended Jake's Auto, mentioning that he had been going to him for years. I am glad I took his advise. I brought my car in and left it overnight. The next day, they picked me up as part of their service, which was very convenient. This was my first time meeting Mike. When I called, I explained my situation and he assured me they would do their best to help. The following day, I received a call with a detailed explanation of the problem and an estimate of the cost. I was very satisfied with the price and the level of service provided. The team of Jake's Auto is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of a trustworthy and efficient mechanic.
Wow! Went above and beyond today when I arrived with a flat tire unannounced from out of town. Got my spare on for me, checked if my size tire was available to replace locally. Got me back on the road safely and didn’t ask for anything in return. If I lived locally this would be my new trusted mechanic. Thank you again, I really appreciated all your help!
My car basically exploded 7 minutes from this shop, I called and even though they were 10 minutes from closing time Mike was amazing. I brought my car there and he looked it over and helped me out. He was honest with his diagnosis of my car and straight forward which I appreciated. Prices are fair and service is great! 10/10 recommend!
I got a flat tire visiting a customer across the street. Went in here, they changed the tire ,showed me the problem and sent me on my way. Wouldn't accept pay for their time. Great, professional shop. Highly recommend
I went to get oil change and filter change service for my Honda Civic at Jake's today. The owner Mike was very polite, friendly and professional. They used good quality parts and charged a reasonable amount for their service. I would highly recommend this place to get a good value for your money!
Was recommended here by a friend. Brought my truck over expecting a safety/certification. First impression was very professional, a little sceptical as I asked for the auto records and was given a brief, not clear description. Mentioned some seals and exhaust needed repair. No problem. Dropped the truck off was given a timeline and expected a call back with pricing. No engine light, light rust. He calls me back with a quote for 2700$ in repair!! I budgeted 500-1000$. This was such an exorbitant quote that I decided to not continue with the certification. He then proceeds to charge me an unreasonable 180$ for his “time”. The truck was in the same spot I dropped it off, I’m highly sceptical he even checked anything on the truck and has the audacity to charge ppl unreasonable and exorbitant rates. I ended up going to Active Green, they changed mybrakes and fixed the exhaust plus certification for 290$. All in all, if you’ like paying extra for minimal service, Jakes auto is the place to go. P.s. 186.45$ and my coolant level was still low, not even a top up. I guess that was the most expensive tire pressure check I ever got.
Best mechanic. You want things done properly and no BS this is the best place. super knowledgeable and explains everything indetail so you know what is going on.
